FERNCLIFF is a historic
summer home in a private 17-acre nature sanctuary, with waterfront of over a third of a mile of unspoiled points, bays,
cliffs and coves. Built in 1852, the French-windowed eight-room heartwood pine cottage features magnificent views
of the lovely Admiralty Group of islands. Although conveniently located in the pretty town of Gananoque, Ontario,
Ferncliff is surrounded by its own extensive grounds.

Paths and trails lead to every part of this
wonderfully varied ecological preserve, which includes
the highest elevation and the most complete natural arboretum in the Thousand Islands. The cottage itself, which features
comfortable period decoration, is surrounded by lawns and sited so that every room has its own ever-changing panoramic
view of the river and islands.

Rental fees help sustain this unique
19th-century "inland island" and its wildlife from
modern encroachment, preserving a chapter from a simpler time, the Thousand Islands' romantic and gentle past.
So come discover the comfortable, natural pace of life.
Rediscover conversation in the warm glow of lamplight around the dinner table,
or dream by the golden embers in the fireplace. Listen to the wind. Watch the
moon rise. And wake up every morning to a panoramic view of river, sky, and islands.
FERNCLIFF welcomes you!
